Budget-friendly DIY vacuum chamber?

Hello! I'm new here and I'm looking to get into resin casting but I'm trying to do it on a budget. I've read all about how crucial it is to degass the resin to avoid bubbles, but the price of a dedicated vacuum chamber is a bit steep for me right now.

I'm hoping to build a DIY version and was wondering if anyone has some good ideas for a homemade setup. I'm looking for suggestions on what I could use for the chamber itself, like maybe a pot or a strong container? Also, what kind of lid or seal would work best? I'm not really sure where to start with the pump either, so any tips on that would be awesome.

I'm open to all sorts of creative and cheap solutions! Thanks in advance for the help!

You can turn a clear-lid pressure cooker into a DIY degassing chamber. Just hook it up with a small AC vacuum pump, and that should do the trick

For a cheap DIY resin setup, you can use a sturdy metal pot or airtight container with a thick gasketed lid and run a small venturi or used HVAC hand pump to create the vacuumm, short and secure lines will help degas the resin effectively.
