Bubbles on resin cast

Tried fast-cast resin with a 1:1 mix by weight and tossed it in my 10L vacuum chamber using a VP320 pump. Chamber hit 24Hg around 4 mins, but after 6–7 mins I started getting big bubbles. I transfered straight into a beaker to test, but now I'm thinking if I should be pouring into the mold after degassing instead? And why do larger bubbles start forming late in the process? Any tips to keep things smooth and clean?

I suggest you pour into the mold right after degassing... directly into the mold and not into another container. The late bubbles usually come from trapped air expanding as the resin starts to cure.

Just to add. try a slower vacuum ramp-up or shorter degas time, and make sure your resin isn't too thick. What kind of mold are you using, is it open or silicone?
