Thimble ideas for bass playing

This is kinda random but here we go... A few years ago, I lost the tip of a finger near the nail, which makes playing bass tricky. I made a bulky polymorph thimble that works but sounds like a hammer on the strings. Now im wondering if mold making rubber could make a thin, flexible cover thats tough enough to peel on and off without tearing, with a leather pad for protection. Anyone know if that would work or have brand suggestions?

@MrWhite oh mold making rubber can definitely be flexible and durable, I think it's a really great idea!
and for brands, Smooth-On's Dragon Skin or PlatSil series are often recommended for their strength and skin-safe properties. The leather pad is a smart addition for protection and tone. Worth experimenting with!

What type of mold-making rubber are you thinking, silicone, urethane, or something else? Some silicones are flexible and durable enough, but adding leather might affect adhesion and have you tried Sugru or Flex Seal?
